Interior Design Project Info
The interior design is conceived as a warm, sophisticated, and highly functional urban retreat, combining contemporary architectural detailing with the comfort of a premium Airbnb serviced apartment and the playful spirit of a children’s playground. The concept reimagines the conventional short-stay apartment as a family-friendly destination, where understated luxury meets imaginative play, creating a memorable experience for both adults and children.
The overall aesthetic balances soft neutral tones, natural timber, stone textures, and muted grey-blue upholstery with carefully integrated playful elements inspired by playground architecture. Rounded forms, gentle curves, interactive features, and thoughtfully designed activity zones introduce a sense of fun and discovery without compromising the apartment’s refined residential character.
For the dining restaurant, cater for the guest brings in contemporary Malaysian style that combines refined modernity with subtle tropical and local influences. The design creates a calm, welcoming dining environment through a warm, neutral palette, natural textures, soft lighting, and carefully curated furniture.
The overall aesthetic is minimal yet warm, allowing the architecture, materiality, greenery, and natural daylight to establish the character of the space. The interior adopts a soft contemporary language, using warm beige, cream, taupe, and muted brown tones to create a sophisticated and timeless atmosphere. The restrained palette is complemented by natural stone textures, timber, brass details, and indoor greenery.
The dining environment where natural light, warm neutral tones, tactile materials and organic forms come together to create a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. The design avoids excessive decoration, instead allowing materiality, greenery, and carefully considered lighting to express a subtle sense of place. The result is a timeless café restaurant that feels modern, welcoming and naturally connected to Malaysia's tropical character.
